Ladies' Dinner & Fellowship

Location: My Church
When: Thursday, February 1, 7:00pm

Happy New Year, ladies! In honor of our Chinese mission workers and in celebration of the Chinese New Year which falls in mid-February, our dinner will have an oriental flare. Bring a Chinese dish to share. (Think Chinese soups, appetizers, stir-fry entrees, rice, noodles. If you need ideas, I'll have some recipe books with me at Bible study & church for anyone to view.)

I got this e mail from a friend of mine...I had told her that I had been logged in for 8 months... ( LID 5/18/06 ).. This is what she had to say... She has a gorgous 7 yo who was born in China...

Wow – good deal. You’re making progress ~ 8 is better than 7 and much better than 6 and of course so much better than 5, and definitely better than 4 and don’t even think about 3, 2 and 1 !

So I have to ask you – do you keep a calendar with the days of the wait numbered on it?

I did. It was a calendar page for each month and I started taping one to another to make a looooooong string of pages. It helped me see progress somehow.

I was sorting through my stuff and found so many emails back and forth talking about the wait! I thought of you. I thought it would never end and everyone kept telling me to hang in there. And I did get through it and now it’s just a memory. It’s a rite of passage that we all must go through -- and once we have -- we join a community like none other!

Hang in there – I promise you it’s worth every single agonizing minute!

Taking guesses as to when my baby girl will be born..Please answer in the comment section.. I requested a little girl 12 months to 18 months old.. I am LID 5/18/06...
