Journey To Jasmine

THOUGHTS OF THE DAY:

Parents need to fill a child's bucket of self-esteem so high that the rest of the world can't poke enough holes to drain it dry.

Alvin Price

We are not called by God to extraordinary things, but to do ordinary things with extraordinary love.

THOUGHTS OF THE DAY:

One of the greatest experiences in life is to have a child fall asleep on your lap, on your chest, or in your arms.
There are things in life that are memorable, even exhilarating- climbing the Rockies, laughing past midnight with friends, hitting a home run.
But a trusting child asleep in your arms is the ultimate.

William L. Coleman

Taking the time to put a Band-Aid on an invisible scratch is as important to children as feeding them dinner.

THOUGHTS OF THE DAY:

God uses people of all ages and walks of life to communicate with us.
God is always talking to me through my kids, since that is who I spend most of my time with.
His favorite topic when using them: trust.

Kerri Wyatt Kent

I suppose every mother has her doubts as to how to best raise a child.
Each child's personality is different, so we must prayerfully consider how to handle each child in a unique and special way.

From a blog who celebrated 3 years since referral:

And for all of the families enduring the long long wait to experience this moment (and all the beautiful moments that will follow), I wish you peace in your wait... And even though the time passes so slowly as you miss the child you've never even seen, but whose soul lives in your heart, you are so so lucky- because you will experience a great miracle and the most wonderful love you could ever imagine~

Once there were two women who never knew each other.

One you do not remember, the other you call Mother.

Two different lives shaped to make you one.One became your guiding star.
The other became your sun.

The first one gave you life, and the second taught you to live it.

One gave you a nationality, the other gave you an aim.

One gave you emotions, the other calmed your fears.

One saw your first sweet smile ,the other dried your tears.

One sought a home that she could not provide,
The other prayed for a child and her hope was not denied.

And now you ask me through your tears the age-old question, unanswered through the years.

Heredity or environment. Which are you a product of? Neither, my darling. Neither. Just two different kinds of Love.

From yet another " happening " blog:

"For those moms that are waiting, my wish is that during a quiet moment that you feel your child’s presence and experience a renewed sense of hope and love for your child. "

Thank you..

This was taken from " A's " blog...Thank you " A " for acknowledging this...

"Despite people's cheery wishes, we know this holiday is very hard for many people. Namely, mothers who have lost, people who have lost their own Moms, those eagerly waiting to become Moms, and " M's " 'sisters' waiting for forever Moms. " M " & I wish you peace, patience, & comfort. "
